The Acting Rent Commissioner, Fredrick Opoku, has acknowledged that his previous remarks regarding the rent card policy may have come across as intimidating.

In an interview, he clarified that his intention was not to threaten landlords or tenants but to emphasize the importance of the new policy aimed at regulating rent prices in the region.

"I understand that my tone may have sounded threatening, but it was not my intention to instill fear in anyone. The focus is on ensuring compliance with the new rent card policy," Opoku stated.
